Candidate will also be offering financial direction and instruction to the project team ensuring they understand key aspects of the contract terms and resolving contractual and commercial problems.
Job responsibilities:
- Establish standard contracting guidelines for the organization to engage in alliances with service providers, vendors and contractors with due regard to legal frameworks in the context of operations involved
- Work with the GRE Legal team, GSS, and the Project Team for the preparation of documents and legal transcription of contracts.
- Developing/enhancing project management policies, procedures and templates to help better cost, schedule, and contract management.
- Interpret all contractual agreements in the context of project management timelines, cost and other parameters and advises the Project Management Team on contractual rights and obligations.
- Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Monitor contractor performance for conformance to the order requirements and maintain continual reviews to ensure that all terms and conditions are met and that the contract is in accordance with legal requirements.
- Resolves cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
- Maintains continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Contract Award - Prepare and review contract documents for signing and ensure contractor compliance with JPMC requirements and the terms and conditions of Contract including Insurances, performance bond guarantees and related mandatory requirements.
- Interfaces with the project management team on a regular basis, and is able to communicate efficiently project status, risks, issues, and opportunities.
- Establish best practices in the preparation of contract documents and bids
- Lead role in advising around pricing for commercial contracts
- Oversee the activities of preparation of bids, process specifications, tests, progress reports and other documents through the bidding process.
- Ensure risk assessment, data relevance and adequacy to complete the bidding processes.
- Analyze and plan the termination and extension of contractual agreements and provide continued support to business units.
- Ability to utilize proprietary project management software efficiently; experience with project management systems and technology.
- Manage contract administration and negotiations.
- Driving efficiencies to ensure contracts remain financially viable and delivered on budget
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Strong ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Minimum 10 years of construction & contract management & estimating & procurement experience with strong results in meeting deadlines and cost requirements is required.
- Bachelors or Master's Degree in engineering, architecture or construction management is preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of full MS Office suite including MS Project
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to escalate issues when required.
- Experience and knowledge of business processes and procedures, applications, workflow, and planning.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in compiling and presenting written project status reports to executive leadership.
- Self-starter who delivers exceptional project management and project controls oversight.
