Irving Knight Group are currently partnered with a global manufacturer within the flexible packaging market who are seeking a Global Key Account Manager for their North American business unit.
The role will be responsible for managing large strategic customers in a variety of different market areas [including chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients and agriculture] whilst simultaneously hunting for new business opportunities across the North American market. The organization has ambitious plans to double their North American sales revenue within the next 2 years and this role will form a crucial cornerstone to achieve this exciting commercial target.
As a key member of the North American business unit, you will form part of a successful existing team and will report directly into the General Manager for North America. To confirm, this is a remote-based position in the U.S and given the travel expectations/customer visits, it would be advisable for interested candidates to be based close to a national or accessible regional airport. An attractive salary package is on offer which includes a competitive base salary, bonus plan and company car.

Responsibilities:
- Generate organic growth and meet financial and non-financial objectives defined by the management team.
- Consistently generate compelling value propositions to pitch to current and prospective customers.
- Work closely with other functions (i.e. customer service, QA and production) to deliver premium supply and quality to the customer base.
- Develop and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key customers.
- Identify customer's needs and strategic goals.
Required Skills/Experience:
- A strong "hunter" mentality - an individual who is tenacious and loves to create new business development opportunities.
- Ability to execute at a high level.
- Bachelor's degree [ideally in business administration, finance or similar field].
- An identifiable successful sales background [5-7 years minimum] in either packaging or one of the organization's customer markets - Food Ingredients, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals or Agriculture.
- Experience working with larger corporate accounts.
Additional Information
- Remote role - must currently be based in the U.S.
- The role may involve infrequent travel to Europe as part of collaboration tasks with wider global team members.
