CO+I operate one of the largest cloud networks on the planet – comprised of more than 160 Datacenters, 130+ edge sites, 2+ million miles of fiber, and millions of servers and network and storage devices.

The CO+I, Datacenter business is looking to fill the critical role of Global General Contractor Portfolio Manager. The CO+I Supply Chain organization is responsible for delivering Datacenter Procurement for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have a portfolio of complex, multi-disciplinary, multi-million, multi-year Datacenter construction and lease projects. As a member of the Supply Chain Leadership team, you will be responsible for the General Contractor Portfolio commercial engagement standards for Microsoft Datacenter execution globally. The role involves direct engagement with our partners across our Datacenter organization as well as our internal teams within boarder Microsoft.

Responsibilities

The Global General Contractor Portfolio Manager is responsible for establishing global standards for commercial engagement with General Contractors (GC) for execution of Datacenter build program including subcontractor management across the build portfolio from award to project turn over to operations.

The scope of this role includes establishing process improvements relative to project award evaluation, commercial project kick off, change management protocol, contractor furnished contractor installed (CFCI) risk management, and overall commercial ownership of General Contractor Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvements in partnership with the Construction Execution team relative to safety, quality, and budget. This role will partner with regional leadership to ensure controls are in place to drive best outcomes on time to market and total cost of ownership competitiveness.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 10+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.

These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 12+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
  • 8+ years people management experience.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 15+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 12+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.

Fulfillment & Logistics M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $124,800 - $266,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $159,000 - $292,200 per year.
