The Portfolio Specialist (PS) – Cloud Services will play a critical and pivotal role in navigating the sales & customer adoption of Nutanix hybrid cloud solutions. With the rapid growth Nutanix is achieving, we need your expertise to increase our capabilities and enable our customers to envision IT their way.

We are adding to our team on the East Coast to focus primarily on a Nutanix Cloud Services adoption. As a, Portfolio Specialist at Nutanix, you will be a technical solution leader within our enterprise sales organization working with our most important customers. You will work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a deep technical level, demonstrate, and prove our solutions, to achieve/exceed quarterly Nutanix multi product sales and usage/consumption targets in your assigned segment. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Nutanix and non-Nutanix technologies.

Your Role

• You will influence the Nutanix Cloud Services go to market strategies by providing feedback to product management, sales, marketing, and engineering on current and future product requirements and sales blockers you encounter.
• You will be participating in internal Nutanix technical communities and in the broader industry events and publishing blogs, white papers, and reference architectures in your area of expertise.
• You will be the key technical leader and influencer in shaping customer decisions to buy, architect and adopt Nutanix Cloud Services. Being a member of the opportunity team, you will give technical presentations, demonstrations, help execute proof of concepts, design and implement solutions leveraging partners, solution provider and Nutanix Consulting Services as needed. You will directly support the market share and revenue growth of the Nutanix through your technical leadership in designing and implementing mission critical services for our customers.

What You'll Bring

• Configured and deployed workloads in the cloud.
• Experience supporting enterprise Data Center products with practical understanding of Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud architectures.
• Strong communication, time management, problem solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in enterprise pre/post-sales engineering.
• Hands on proficiency with networking design and firewalls.
• HCI architectures, specifically the Nutanix Core HCI Platform.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross functional teams, leveraging company resources to drive sales and solve customer challenges.
• Experience with cloud governance, VDI, software-defined virtual desktops, IoT applications and infrastructure and disaster recovery.
• Hands on proficiency with public cloud platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud (GCP).

A successful Portfolio Specialist will be a/have

• Excellent Communicator - Strong negotiation, organizational, presentation, product demo, writing, and verbal communication skills is required.
• Collaborative - Able to work cohesively with members of the Nutanix sales, services, and marketing organizations and Nutanix partners is required.
• Technical breadth - Enterprise-scale experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management are preferred.
• Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Architect - The expertise and ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures in the cloud services and application security space is required.
• Performer - Highly driven person who consistently exceeds goals and expectations is required.
• Executive Presence - Validated experience engaging with senior level executives is preferred.
• Cloud Trust - Demonstrated knowledge of IoT Infrastructure, Disaster Recovery, VDI and industry compliance and how they factor into cloud and hybrid solution decisions is preferred.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $211,200 - $316,800/ year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
