Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Global Director of Thought Leadership and Content to lead a dynamic content program that showcases the company's insights and expertise to clients, prospects, and stakeholders. As Director, you will play a crucial role in the global marketing organization by ensuring consistent messaging that aligns with the company's priorities and stays up-to-date with industry events. The content you oversee will include a variety of materials, such as a quarterly magazine, monthly reports, white papers, research reports, email and sales copy, and podcasts.


Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $190,000


The Director and their team will be a significant contributor to the external communications strategy, including the development and support of a thought leadership calendar. You will have a keen understanding of the U.S. news cycle, with a focus on retail banking and financial sector impact. You must possess excellent writing and verbal skills and be comfortable working with senior management to extract, mine and distill technical concepts and research into compelling material that drives sales.

Reporting to the Global Director of Marketing, you will collaborate closely with line of business leaders and the global marketing organization. You will also work with senior leadership across the company to ensure that the company's priorities and points of view are reflected in written content and graphic design. You will lead a team of content writers and work with the marketing team to ensure consistent messaging and timing of campaigns.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the complete editorial calendar across the organization, connecting with key stakeholders as needed to collaborate on go-to-market strategies
  • Conceptualize and manage the strategy and creation of all weekly, monthly, and quarterly perspectives, reviews, research reports, and blogs
  • Monitor and analyze the U.S. news cycle related to the financial sector and research industry trends to feed into editorial and marketing theming processes
  • Serve as the gatekeeper and editorial sign-off for all thought leadership, marketing, and sales content that goes to market, in both physical and digital mediums
  • Develop a thought leadership strategy and editorial calendar in collaboration with line of business leads, subject matter experts, and marketing colleagues
  • Manage and provide editorial oversight for the Insights podcast.
  • Support event marketing and sales coordinated outreach by drafting, editing, and approving all marketing and sales materials before go-live

  • Qualifications:

    • Be creative and innovative, introducing new mediums and channels for content consumption across social media platforms, web, and other channels
    • Possess intellectual curiosity
    • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate clear and compelling visions that capture the most out of proprietary research and subject matter experts
    • Possess a strategically driven and business-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze publication performance and shift priorities as needed
    • Have a clear ability to project manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines with ease.
    • Ability to drive consistency in the editorial approach to the market through oversight of style, standards, and tone, supporting overall brand awareness
