THE WORK

The Front Desk Medical Assistant will possess excellent telephone etiquette and superb customer services skills. Candidate must also have some experience as a medical assistant, as this position will be required to assist in the back office as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains patient confidentiality 100% of the time, demonstrates complete discretion when discussing patient information.
• Schedules appointment for physician and maintains appointment schedule.
• Processes medical records requests within five (5) working days of receipt.
• Answers all telephone calls courteously.
• Verifies demographic and insurance information upon the patient's arrival.
• Greets and registers patients in a prompt, pleasant, and helpful manner.
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Primarily working at Front Desk, but must be a Medical Assistant

Education And Experience

• Some experience working as a Medical Assistant
• Certified Medical Assistant
• Professional and positive manner
• Experience in a physician’s office, clinic or other health care setting is strongly preferred
