Job Description
Sante Health System is looking to hire a Front Desk Receptionist to provide exceptional customer service at our busy medical office, Neurosurgical Associates Medical Group (NAMG) located in Fresno, CA. This position is the essential link for our patients and the care provided by our team. We're looking for a kind and friendly individual who is experienced in the medical field and passionate about patient experience. The ideal candidate not only strives to meet our clients' needs but also enjoys taking a key role in administrative tasks and operational flow.

Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of computer and business office procedures
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a medical office setting
  • Pleasant attitude; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, employees, and public.


Performance Requirements


  • Skill in operating a computer and photocopy machine.
  • Knowledge of office procedures.
  • Ability to handle large phone volume and assorted tasks expediently and accurately.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information.
  • Ability to sort and file materials correctly and in alphabetical or numeric systems.
  • Knowledge of managed care products such as HMO's and PPO's.
  • Skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Greet patients and callers in a congenial and professional manner; screen and respond to routine requests for information.


Callers


  • Determine reason for the telephone call
  • Direct caller to the appropriate person or place
  • Identify caller
  • Coordinate and reschedule patients' appointments


Patients Checking In


  • Tracking Santes' Pay for Performance
  • Put new information into computer
  • Scan new insurance card
  • Management of Reports:
  • Receive and post payments and co-pays from patients and issue receipts as required.
  • Run reports as required to balance charges and payments.
  • Maintain records in a confidential manner.
  • Zero EOB's from Capitation Report
  • Coverage for physician receptionist area as needed.
  • Perform related work as required; perform other duties and assigned by the Administrator.
  • Comply with all work rules including those pertaining to safety and health.
  • Help patient complete necessary forms
  • Inquire about any new patient information (change of address, telephone, new insurance, etc.)
  • Prepare deposit for the day if required.
  • Attend meetings and in-service as required.
  • Prepare cashier drawers with specified opening balance of currency and coins.
  • In the spirit of teamwork, employees are expected to follow any other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties as requested.
  • MCMP yearly project of tracking patients per the standards of Medicare
