Job Title: Freelancer Design Assistant
Compensation: $50-75 an hour
Key Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and focus on specific customer needs depending on the brand and product category needed.
• Create and manage seasonal brand line sheets.
• Research and forecast fashion, materials, and market trends.
• Contribute to both the development and sampling of new collections.
• Ship and review samples as requested.
• Sketch, CAD work, and creating specs and tech packs for the manufacturing team overseas.
• Aid in the production process.
• Consult with a fitting technician while working on fits for our women's shoes.
• Assist the design team from conceptualization to finished product.
• Set up and maintain CAD approval on web portal for either/both company and licensed assigned brand.

Qualifications:

• Ability to research market trend information.
• Familiar with understanding variations of constructions and development methods.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and discipline.
• 1-2 years of keeping cost to target price point on brand.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Illustrator, iPad sketching, and Photoshop - InDesign software a plus.
• Must be motivated and eager to learn in a fast-paced industry.
• Exposure to research & competitive shopping.
• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in design or related design experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
• Hand sketching ability and quick ideation capability.
