Job Title: Marketing Associate, Online Courses

Salary Range: $55,800 - $68,000 USD

Location: Remote working from US locations, or from our NY office/hybrid

Country: United States

Division: Academic

Vacancy Type: Permanent, Full-time

About the role:

Are you looking to use your marketing skills to make a difference in education and increase the success of learners? As a Marketing Associate within Cambridge University Press' Academic Publishing division, you will apply your knowledge and experience to promote our online learning courseware. Our adaptive learning platform helps instructors increase engagement and student success rates. Whether online or on campus, the platform provides support to each individual, improving progress and outcomes for students at all levels.

Working alongside marketers with expertise in both online courses and traditional textbooks, you will:

  • Build market knowledge about current and prospective customers including individual institutions and broader territories
  • Be part of a team contributing to a key area of growth and innovation for the company
  • Create retention marketing collateral and share feedback to improve customers' experience
  • Develop sales tools to drive adoptions of new and existing courses across the Americas, EMEA and India
  • Coordinate events and content pieces that showcase how our platform and partners empower instructors and students to reach their goals
  • Deliver marketing campaigns to generate interest in designing new online courses at global institutions
  • Collaborate closely with the higher education sales teams in these territories

About you:

To be successful in this role, you should have consistent marketing experience, over at least a 2-year period. Particularly beneficial areas include:

  • Events planning or coordination
  • Supporting sales or customer success programs
  • Effective implementation of data-driven email nurture campaigns
  • Digital marketing including content, social media, video, and SEO
  • Community building
  • Lead generation and pipeline building

Key qualities that will help you succeed:

  • Excellent communication skills including written English
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes in markets, technologies and sales models
  • Creativity along with a solutions-driven mindset
  • Demonstrable networking and relationship-building skills and experience building strong relations across different groups—it's a team effort!

A background of working closely with sales teams, or actual sales experience, would also be an asset, though not essential. Occasional (up to 10%) customer-facing travel may be required for the role.
