The Fitness/Wellness Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and managing the fitness aspects of the YourChoice Wellness Center. They will assist in providing a comprehensive wellness program, which involves coordinating, planning, and facilitating health and fitness activities and programs for employees. Plans and implements classes, orientations, presentations, seminars, personal training, and fitness assessments that promote healthy lifestyles.

What You Will Do –

• Assist with county-wide Wellness/Fitness Center(s) policies & procedures
• Supervise day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center
• Assist in the creation and implementation of county-wide Wellness events and challenges
• Compiles, produces, and maintains reports and documents pertinent to assigned program areas
• Assist Worksite Wellness Manager with coordination of various worksite Wellbeing Programs and presentations
• Manage exercise portion of Incentive Programs while maintain accurate records of outcomes and improvements

Who You Are

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing, include making presentations.
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Knowledge in various fitness and wellness programming
• Highly organized and outcome oriented

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills

• Minimum of three (3) years' work experience in fitness and wellness, or related field.
• Valid driver's license with valid Florida driver's license within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Fitness and Wellness, Health Science, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field.
• Personal Training Certification required.
• Community CPR, First Aid, and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certifications within 180 days of hire.
• Minimum of one (1) year serving in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

Desired Skills

• Group Exercise Certification desired.
