Opportunity Summary
The Fleet Services Manager is responsible for coordination of headquarters support to assist with the performance of O&M services during transitions, mobilizations, and commercial operations utilizing technical resources, both organic to the NAES Plant Operations department and from other departments, to support objectives and review fleet performance in critical areas as well as identifying improvement opportunities.
Here's a look at some of the work you'll be performing:
- Perform plant O&M transitions, plant greenfield mobilizations, Operational Readiness Reviews and similar assignments to satisfy a variety of plant needs
- Develop mobilization and/or transition plans specific to each assigned project. Must take into consideration variables such as specific plant technology, timing of project, federal/state/local regulations, and labor/community relations.
- Evaluate project performance and identify and implement appropriate actions to improve performance by reviewing reports, analysis of data and direct observation
- Support the Operations Directors, as requested, in providing training and orientation to the Plant Manager prior to the commercial operations phase to ensure alignment with NAES philosophies
- Provide occasional on-site management support at our operating facilities
- Perform directed Operational Readiness Reviews and similar evaluations to identify plant performance deficiencies. Develop support plans to correct identified deficiencies.
- Ensure draft NAES manuals are developed for plant and client review and, once revised and approved, issue final copies to appropriate plant personnel
For Greenfield efforts:
- Assist the Operations Director in preparing the Plant Manager to become focal point of all project activities and ensure the manager and staff are prepared to support plant startup and transition to commercial operations
- Assist in the recruitment of plant support staff during mobilization efforts. During transition efforts, support the transfer and orientation of the plant staff and recruiting of replacement staff as required.
- In the absence of a Plant Manager, coordinate the schedule of individual system startup to ensure proper working operations prior to the commercial operations date
- Act as primary contact between NAES headquarters, the client and the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contractor. Responsible for commenting on EPC's schedule and developing integrated training plan, making changes as appropriate, and coordinating operator training with the EPC. Ensure training schedule and staffing sequence are in alignment.
Scope of Responsibility
This position operates from established and well-known procedures performing duties independently, under general direction. The position is project supervisory to the extent that daily work direction and support is provided to the subordinate plant and corporate management personnel. Decisions are made within policy and procedure guidelines. This position has partial budgetary preparation and compliance accountability. Project management accountability varies depending on project size ranging from $500,000 to $5,000,000. The position encounters a wide diversity of work situations with a high degree of complexity.

Working Relationships
The Fleet Services Manager reports to the Manager, Fleet Services, and is responsible for the performance of O&M services during transitions, mobilizations, and several aspects of commercial operations. Contacts are normally made with others inside and outside of the company to include customers, vendors, contractors, other departments, immediate associates and own supervisor. Contacts are usually made on own initiative concerning matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation and approvals.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
This is a full-time position that requires 40 working hours a week. Additional time may be required during heavy workloads or to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing as well as handle long periods of screen time.
Compensation
The initial compensation is $132,700 to $145,000 depending on experience.
