FL Supervisor
Position Overview:
Manages and coordinates all daily activities of the FL department, acting as liaison between individual sub-departments. Provides guidance and instruction, communicating and administering policies and procedures. Performs clinical and/or administrative functions necessary to the efficient operation of the department. Coordinates the training program of new staff either hired into FL or being cross-trained. Strong Musculoskeletal XRAY and MRI imaging knowledge highly preferred.
- Ensures efficient use of Imaging Department’s multi-site resources.
- Coordinates on-going training and continuing education programs for staff and students.
- Ensures Optimal Customer Service.
- Works with other counterparts within department and HSS Enterprise for overall organizational improvement.
- Develops operating policies and procedures (protocols) in conjunction with the Administrator, Physicists and Division Chief.
- Ensures the effectiveness of the technical imaging service.
- Develops programs which address quality improvement safety systems enhancement and streamlining of work.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
- Advances team and self-knowledge in musculoskeletal XRAY and MRI imaging.
- Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate specialty preferred. Licensure: Registered in one or more imaging areas i.e. ARRT NMTCB ARDMS or other specialty area such as cardiology (RCIS) as appropriate for specialty. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
- Graduate of an accredited JRC program in appropriate specialty required.
- Prior experience in a orthopedic physician office setting preferred.
- Prior Imaging supervision experience preferred
- Experience: 2 years relevant experience in XRAY and MRI and musculoskeletal imaging
- ARRT (R) Registered Technologist
- ARRT(CT) Registered Technologist
- Required: FL Radiologic Technologist Licensure
