Fitness Manager Jobs

Position Summary: The Fitness Manager works closely with the Wellness Director to provide an exceptional fitness experience for Hunters Runs’ members by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Fitness Center

• Assumes other duties as assigned.
• Coordinates regularly scheduled maintenance of equipment with vendors.
• Provides backup support to cleaning crew and organization of Fitness & Aquatics facility.
• Oversees the fitness front desk, fitness attendants, group fitness instructors, and their respective schedules.
• Remains familiar and up to date on current fitness trends, fitness classes, and training protocols.
• Assists in ordering supplies using the specific budget guidelines.
• Develops Clubster posts and monthly HR magazine articles.
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Fitness Center and Group Fitness classes.
• Assists in ensuring the safety of members and club property by determining when equipment or facilities need repair. Communicates with the Wellness Director and Facilities Maintenance team in a timely manner.
• Assists the Wellness Director in the daily management of all fitness programs, assessments, and wellness educational programming.
• Looks for opportunities to improve the maintenance and overall look of our Fitness & Aquatic Center.
• Collaborates with the Wellness Director to develop programming for members.

Membership/Client Programming, Training and Assistance:

• Familiarizes members with the facility, maintaining a comfortable atmosphere for members and visitors, and motivating members.
• Create safe and effective exercise programs.

Personal Training, Group Fitness, and Instructors:

• Coordinates group fitness instructors and class schedules.
• Collaborates with marketing department on collateral marketing materials for the Fitness Center.
• Assists with the oversight of personal trainers’ client lists and schedule.
• Keeps accurate account of training participants and group class attendees.

Education / Experience

• Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field (Preferred)
• Minimum of two years in a similar role at a private country club or high-end resort

Certifications

• CPR/First Aid/AED
• Active Personal Training certification from a nationally recognized organization (i.e., ACSM, NASM, ACE)
