General Manager Jobs

The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of manufacturing operations at a production plant. They are responsible for ensuring that the plant operates efficiently, effectively, and safely while meeting production targets and quality standards.

Looking for large plant experience (ideally automotive, automation or heavy industry)

MUST HAVE FULL P&L EXPERIENCE OF A MANUFACTURING FACILITY ALONG WITH COMMERCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

10+ years of experience with a few years of running a 150+ person facility.

The Plant Manager's duties include:

1. Supervising and coordinating plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics.
2. Managing the plant's budget and resources, including equipment, materials, and personnel.
3. Developing and implementing strategies to improve plant productivity and efficiency.
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
5. Managing and training plant staff, including hiring, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
6. Collaborating with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and supply chain, to ensure efficient plant operations and effective product delivery.
7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
8. Maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders.

The ideal Plant Manager candidate will have:

1. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
2. Extensive experience in manufacturing, with at least five years of experience in a leadership role.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. A proven track record of successfully managing a manufacturing operation.
6. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and experience implementing them in a production setting.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
8. An understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
9. A commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
10. The ability to work independently and lead a team.
