About the job

IRCA is a leading international provider of semi-finished ingredients for the bakery, pastry and gelato markets, serving independent producers as well as large food manufacturers (e.g. CPG). Core products include chocolate, chocolate decorations, creams, pastry mixes, gelato ingredients, and other bakery / pastry ingredients.

The Company, headquartered in Italy, was acquired by Advent International, the global Private Equity firm, in July 2022, and has a strong track record of growth over the last decade. IRCA has made 2 bolt-on acquisitions in the areas of candied fruits (Cesarin) and pistachio ingredients (Anastasi) in 2022, and recently entered exclusive negotiations to acquire a leading manufacturer of sweet and cereal products in Europe and the US. The target’s business focuses on high value add specialty ingredients for the Food Manufacturers segment, with a portfolio that incorporates a range of products including sweet particulates, chocolate confections, baked inclusions, variegates and fruit purées.

This transformative deal would create a global leader in the semi-finished ingredients industry, with 22 manufacturing facilities in Europe, US and Vietnam and a combined €1 billion of revenues (2022).


Role Overview

The FP&A Associate will interface with all functions of the organization. They will support financial related efforts across the organization including the creation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasting and the multi-year strategic growth plans. This position will provide P&L performance explanations, in-depth margin analysis, and support pricing analytics to achieve company objectives as well as be a key contributor to reporting packages. The position will report to the FP&A Manager. You are able to work remotely and a mix of either-or Elk Grove Village, IL. or Beloit, WI office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in special projects, prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis, when requested.
  • Support the annual budget process, working collaboratively with a multi-functional team.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial business unit(s) reviews as well as supporting narrative to financial statements and provide insights to leadership.
  • Provide pricing support for the various products by developing a rigorous pricing model
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Develop and calculate monthly KPIs for the manufacturing facilities and provide insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Provide variance analysis of actual to budget, business plan, forecast, strategic plans, and/or project-related initiatives such as profitability studies, cost modelling, sensitivity analysis etc.
  • Review and analyze monthly business results, including in-depth review of revenue and costs across the various business units and manufacturing facilities

Experience/Qualifications

  • Comfortable with large datasets in Excel and databases.
  • Previous experience in Food and Beverage/CPG preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience in Finance/Accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or Economics Required
  • Advanced Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, What If, etc.)
  • Experience with Salesforce, Concur, and Power BI software is a plus.
  • Proficient in Word, Powerpoint, Outlook and Teams

Travel

Travel of up to 25% may be required.
