Job Description
Position Overview


The Festival Associate Manager, Partnerships is charged with managing an assigned group of Sundance Film Festival partners, including corporate sponsors, nonprofit groups, and in-kind partners. The Associate Manager also manages assigned projects within Sundance Institute’s internal operations group.


Working under the direction of Assistant Director, Corporate Partnerships, this temporary position works full time from Wednesday, October 18, 2023 through Friday, February 9, 2024 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned.


This position is based out of our Park City, Utah office and will be expected to perform onsite work duties from Tuesday, January 16, 2024 through Thursday, January 25, 2024. Employees may start in a commutable distance to Park City, UT or remotely from a state we currently legally operate in until the required onsite work date listed above. Employees who start remotely will be responsible for their own relocation to Park City. Lodging in Park City will be provided for onsite work during the Festival as determined by the team.


Top priorities include but are not limited to…


  • Creating tracking documents, timelines, run of shows, and external guideline sheets.
  • Completing a written summary for each account and project, including completed activation, benefit administration, archiving project details, and listing recommendations for future Festivals.
  • Managing assigned projects for the Corporate Partnerships team, including serving as the main lead for the Partnerships team on marketing recognition, signage, content, private screenings, theater operations, ticketing, assigned venues, online platform, press, social media, delivery and distribution, etc.
  • Managing accounts and administering benefits for assigned partnerships, including scheduling, leading, and notating weekly partner calls, ensuring all contractual benefits and recognition are fulfilled, executing customized activation opportunities, and serving as the main Festival liaison for assigned partners.
  • Compiling post-Festival materials, including photos, thank-yous, tax deduction statements, and wrap reports.
  • Maintaining accurate and updated records in departmental databases and tracking documents.
  • Collaborating with internal Sundance departments to ensure partner deliverables are fulfilled and partners are satisfied with their Festival experience.
  • Serving an integral role in department operations, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times.


You Have The Following Direct Or Transferable Skill Sets


  • Previous experience with brand activation, brand marketing, event operations, partnership or donor relations, or project management preferred.
  • Adaptability to take on new tasks in an evolving event landscape.
  • Valid driver’s license and successful completion of DMV background check preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Google Applications and/or project management software.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with a variety of people.
  • 3 years experience in account management, relationship management, brand partnerships, event management, or related.
  • Ability to mitigate conflict and facilitate positive customer relations.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.
