The Texas Operating Area (TOA) has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Construction Technician to support the construction team in the Permian Basin. In this role you will actively provide technical and accounting support to a fast-paced team consisting of construction inspectors, construction coordinators, engineers and leaders.
This position could be based in either the Denver Office or the Midland office.
Responsibilities
  • Assist team with developing meeting notes and presentations.
  • Assist and set up meetings.
  • Maintain and distribute weekly Construction Report.
  • Maintain calendars.
  • SiteView data entry.
  • Provide administrative services to the TOA construction team including:
    • SiteView data entry.
    • Maintain and distribute weekly Construction Report.
    • Maintain construction related well files.
    • Update and maintain distribution lists, team lists, and vendor lists.
    • Assist team with developing meeting notes and presentations.
    • Assist and set up meetings.

  • Update and maintain distribution lists, team lists, and vendor lists.

  • Administration of SiteView/WellView program including:
    • SiteView Administrator Role.

  • Maintain change order log and route change orders for approvals.
  • Manage vendors and train them on the TOA construction invoice processes.
  • Code verification and distribution of construction invoices.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory log.
  • Provide construction services and materials invoice processing including:
    • Code verification and distribution of construction invoices.
    • Maintain change order log and route change orders for approvals.
    • Maintain equipment and inventory log.
    • Manage vendors and train them on the TOA construction invoice processes.
  • Safety meeting tracking logs.
  • Monthly safe worked hours log.
  • Construction safety administration including:
    • Monthly safe worked hours log.
    • Coordination of monthly contractor’s safety meeting.
    • Safety meeting tracking logs.

Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of internal customer service.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Oil and gas or construction industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Open Invoice (ADP) & JDE is a plus. In absence of that, a demonstrated ability to learn and work with customized web-based applications.
  • Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  • High school diploma, with 2 years of college preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Some travel will be required.
In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Ovintiv's reasonable estimate of the hiring compensation range for this role.
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $80,000 USD

Compensation may vary and will be determined by the geographic location, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
