Charlie Health has set out on a mission to reimagine how high acuity care is delivered to young people and families in crisis. Our initial offering is a virtual intensive outpatient program, which places peers with similar mental health experiences and goals into customized virtual groups. Our team of masters-level clinicians lead groups multiple times per week to deliver a higher level of care.

About the Role

Charlie Health is hiring MA level group facilitators to provide high quality neurodivergent affirming virtual mental health care to our adolescent and young adult clients. 100% remote; telehealth. People know Charlie Health for our warm and empathetic clinical team. While each individual clinician has their own interests, expertise, and style, we require all team members to be well versed in a variety of modalities. Our clients are struggling to cope with underlying mental health issues and benefit from therapists that are sophisticated and relational. Successful candidates are committed to bettering the mental health of their clients, along with being adept at self-care, ensuring they are prepared to give their best every day to address the youth mental health crisis.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively across the care team including with Primary Therapists, Care Experience Specialists, Crisis Managers and Care Coaches
  • Ensure groups are delivered in accordance with Charlie Health curriculum and recognized evidenced based best practices
  • Monitor documentation to ensure all of your notes are included and meets agency and professional standards per DHCS and The Joint Commission standards
  • Provide direct patient-facing care through group sessions
  • Participate in collaborative Group Supervision (biweekly) and Treatment Team (weekly) meetings with direct supervisor and peers
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, care team staff and occasionally families
  • Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support the Charlie Health clinical team by facilitating groups in other modalities including but not limited to, creative arts, contemplative practice, relational programming and more

Requirements

  • Must be able to provide at least 12 direct patient facing hours. Note, those 12 hours do not include documentation, meetings, etc.
  • Must be available during late afternoons and evenings on weekdays to meet the schedules of our adolescent and young adult clients
  • Reliable WIFI connection when meeting with clients
  • Creative and engaging, especially over video!
  • Experience and/or interest in running LGBTQIA+ affirming group therapy
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Passionate about the benefits of groups and skilled in conducting groups
  • License eligible MA degree in mental health field required
  • 9-3pm MT Saturdays
  • Experience and/or interest in running neurodivergent affirming group therapy
  • 1099 role
  • 3-8pm MT on Monday to Thursday
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox–in addition to EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis
  • Experience working with youth and young adults in intensive treatment setting
  • The technical ability to run effective telehealth sessions
