Cash App is looking for an experienced program manager to join its External Requests (XRQ) team. In this role you will join a team of program managers focused on managing discrete projects and coordinating strategic initiatives concerning parties external to Cash App, such as regulators, partners, and auditors. You will also be responsible for working with team members to continue developing the overall XRQ program by building processes, procedures, program governance and driving towards a continuous improvement culture. This role requires strong program management skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, ability to drive collaboration and consensus amongst cross functional teams in an efficient way.

You will:

• Participate in long term team strategy, program management and prioritization, project and program management, and team leadership
• Drive consistency and improvement in processes and tools for the the team and key stakeholders (both horizontal layer across all programs, and vertically within programs)
• Strategically partner with multiple internal teams including Product, Legal, Compliance, Data Science, and Customer Operations, amongst others while facilitating clear communication and aligning on objectives.
• Lead projects and initiatives from initiation to completion. This will include defining scope, goals, creating detailed project plans, monitoring and reporting on progress, identifying risks, and ensuring consistency.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with the ability to own multiple, concurrent tasks to completion
• Experience leading program or project teams
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
• Experience building successful large-scale programs
• Experience working with program management tools
• Ability to work independently but also to lead others in the completion of important tasks
• 8+ years of project or program management experience

Even better:

• Experience in responding to federal, state and global regulatory inquiries
• Experience in the consumer financial services industry
• Experience in reviewing audit conclusions and managing recommended changes to business programs
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certified
• Experience in responding to key partner inquiries
• Experience working with multinational teams

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $184,100 - USD $225,000

Zone B: USD $171,200 - USD $209,200

Zone C: USD $162,000 - USD $198,000

Zone D: USD $152,700 - USD $186,700
