Job Description
Catalyst Clinical Research is a niche provider of clinical research services through two established solutions- Catalyst Flex and Catalyst Oncology. Here at Catalyst Clinical Research we provide support and services exclusively to biotech companies because we know and understand the biotech environment. When protocols amend or emerging data suggest a breakthrough straight from Phase I to registration, we are ready.


Position Summary: The Executive Director of Consulting will lead the Consulting Business and will engage the broader Catalyst Organization. In many cases this role may be the initial face of consulting experienced by the client so needs to be scientifically and operationally credible as well as being a good communicator and convincing salesperson.


Position Accountabilities/Responsibilities:


  • Responsibility for consulting business operational delivery.
  • Represent company at conferences, client meetings, functions.
  • Assisting with the management and reporting of all department financial and operational metrics.
  • Oversight of consulting contracts. responsible for overseeing/liaising with the administrative support team (i.e., Consulting Proposals, Consultant Contracts, Finance, general admin).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Identify and manage initiatives to drive department growth and success.
  • Manage and assure sponsor expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Oversee the production of reports or outputs from the consulting effort and drive the timelines and budget management process to ensure timely and appropriate output.
  • Ensure staff training is up to date.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering to the business targets and liaising with consultant pool from a planning perspective to establish client team composition and drive recruitment of new consultants/employees through department heads and people ops organization.
  • Manage all resources.


Supervisory Requirements/Responsibilities: Position will have management responsibilities. Development, oversight, and direction of departmental staff which may include interviewing, terminations, training, personal growth, retention plans, coaching/performance management, goal setting, & salary.


Position Qualifications and Requirements:


Education: A 4-year degree or equivalent; Advanced strongly preferred.


Experience:


  • A minimum of 5 years line management experience.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • A satisfactory combination of education and experience may be accepted as a substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Regulatory experience is highly preferred.
