The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM)/St. Jude Global (SJG) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) is seeking a talented and thoughtful professional to fill the role of Executive Coordinator for St. Jude Global Operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly detail-oriented, and possess a demonstrated ability to be flexible and creative in a fast-paced environment.
The St. Jude Global Operations Executive Coordinator is responsible for:
- Providing support for departmental leadership, including maintaining and organizing daily schedules and managing special projects and assignments
- Ensuring alignment with departmental and institutional policies and practice
- Coordinating and planning logistics, agendas, and scheduling for executive-sponsored in-person and online meetings and events
- Developing and monitoring core work section and/or project budgets including organizing travel and maintaining expense reports
- Managing multiple projects including prioritizing tasks, developing and maintaining timelines, and monitoring overall progress
- Collaborating with other departments, programs, and cohorts internally and externally
Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an interest in creating new materials
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite with the ability to create reports and presentations
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Capacity to plan and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Cultural sensitivity is a must
- Proven ability to be a team-player and to express ideas objectively and effectively
All candidates must submit a cover letter to be considered for the position.
- Fluency in a second language is a plus
- Substantial experience planning/ coordinating events including coordination and vendor management.
- Experience Exception: Bachelor's degree and 2+ years experience in administration or related area.
- Minimum Requirement: 8+years experience in administration or related area.
- Substantial experience working with office technologies including Microsoft Office (Word/ Excel/ Power point etc.).
- Substantial experience managing communication with stakeholders including senior leaders.
- Substantial experience in document management, reporting and analysis.
