BEST Crowd Management, a GardaWorld Company provides a full array of event-staffing and crowd-management services for top venues and major events throughout North America. From professional sporting events (such as the MLB, NFL, NCAA and MLS), to political gatherings, concerts, conferences, conventions, collegiate events and other large affairs, we’re there to keep the energy going, while keeping everyone safe.
We are seeking an energetic, driven Operations Manager who will support and drive operational excellence in the Company’s core strategies in our quickly expanding Minneapolis market. This position will manage, oversee and coordinate all aspects of event operation activities including, but not limited to: administrative and operations planning and execution and client satisfaction. This position will be based in our office in Minneapolis, MN.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required
  • Ensure all building security systems are operating as necessary during event and non-event periods. Security systems include but are not limited to: cameras and access control; all physical security equipment (magnetometers, hand-wands, bollards, etc.)
  • Provide leadership of security operations including vulnerability mitigation, incident response, and risk assessments.
  • Supervises colleagues (Assistant Account Managers, Event Services Coordinators and Game Day Staff) in a manner that maintains morale, skills proficiency and productivity. Recruit and hire team members as necessary.
  • Develops and implements operations strategies that improve execution and provide additional value to customers in a cost-effective manner.
  • Research and analyze event information to provide staffing recommendations and estimates prior to events
  • Make immediate decisions and communicate with security staff in emergency situations
  • Maintain the proper image and generate positive public relations by resolving issues, concerns, and complaints pertaining to security during events
  • Proactively communicates with and seeks feedback from customers; seeks to continuously improve customer satisfaction. Meets with customers on a regular basis to ensure that we are meeting their needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience managing other security professionals
  • Minimum of two (2) years of security experience at a professional sports venue, or within the military, or within local, state or national law enforcement
  • Experience in ABI and working with a unionized staff is preferred
