Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Accountable for developing, directing and improving learning operations and team members. Ensures that end users receive the needed learning in the use of software applications and other forms of technology within the workplace. Accountable for identifying areas where additional learning may be beneficial due to technological advancements or software application changes. Ensures alignment of technical learning with business goals. Provides leadership of administrative functions as it relates to curriculum/learning/development. Helps department budget planning and management.

SALARY

The pay range for this position is $73,673 (entry-level qualifications) - $128,689 (highly experienced) The specific rate will depend upon the successful candidate’s specific qualifications and prior experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Performance management - Experienced at translating organizational direction into specific team and individual contributor job expectations; managing performance through effective monitoring, coaching, and feedback; ability to establish and maintain a collective, high performance environment by capitalizing on employee talents, experience, interests, and diversity.
  • Problem solving - Able to study problems comprehensively and apply critical thinking to derive a resolution; takes initiative to own an issue and manage the issue till identification of root cause and resolution.
  • Communication Skills - Effective at providing timely, concise, audience appropriate information orally and in writing; able to listen and know about escalations from team and escalate appropriately to senior leadership when necessary.
  • Technical knowledge around Epic, voice activation software, Excel, Power Point, Word, LMS and authoring systems.
  • Project management - Skilled project manager with ability to articulate business needs, develop detailed specifications and project plans in conjunction with team. Ensures that milestones are met and that end products meet customer needs/expectations.
  • Strategic Thinking - Ability to work with high level organizational strategic groups in order to help plan and optimize teams in order to enhance and operationalize the organizations strategic initiatives and goals.
  • Synergy and relationships with others - Proven partnership and team-building skills with a track record of building sound, enduring relationships within a learning staff team.
  • Resource and Performance Management: Maintains proper staffing levels, allocates resources, manages payroll, provides ongoing feedback. Develops and executes staff development plans and evaluates singular performance. Conducts personnel actions such as promotions, transfers and other status changes. Effectively manages a geographically dispersed team, traveling regionally, as appropriate to help team priorities. Some recurring overnight travel will be required. Acts as a springboard to resolve project and program issues and conflicts encountered by team members.
  • Team Partnership: Functions as a liaison between the Technology Learning Services department, operations, informatics, revenue cycle and workflow teams ensuring delivery of outstanding client services. Serves as a member of project teams concerning all Epic and technical applications to ensure that all these applications have proper learning curriculum and resources in place.
  • Customer focus - Skilled and matched to meeting expectations of internal and external customers; able to address the immediate problems and pain points of customers effectively.
  • Develop, update and maintain role-based learning tracks to ensure the efficient delivery of curriculum. Build learning plans for new functionality, as required. Manages the maintenance and rebuild of learning environments.
  • Resource management - Experienced at influencing results through appropriate staffing, budget management, removal of performance barriers, and maximizing available resources for a small team. Ability to manager outside contractors due to large implementations.
  • Participates, as assigned, in Epic governance committees representing the Technology Learning Services department. Helps future vision of system capabilities and best practices as related to the needs of the business.
  • Project Management: Coordinates and assigns projects to team members. Monitors deliverables for alignment with standards. Ensures that deadlines are met.
  • Time management and quality delivery - Reactive to management and staff. Able to maximize time to produce comprehensive, polished deliverables and on target operational results.
  • Budget Planning and Management: Assists management with information for management of departmental capital and operational budget in accordance with strategic plans and run-the-business needs.
  • Promote Technical/Process Standards: Knows requirements and designs of technical and process standards. Promotes consistent adoption of new technical and process standards within the Technology Learning Services department. Reviews learning artifacts to ensure standards are being maintained in their development.
  • Effectively coordinates and administers department personnel policies and procedures.
  • Establishes a climate that helps synergy and partnership that enhances personal and departmental performance.

SCHEDULE: Full Time, M-F

QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
  • EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience


CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION

  • Epic Certification (EPICCERT): Credentialed in at least one Epic application within 12 months after hire as needed.
