Entry Level Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking candidates for an Entry Level Staff Accountant at a law firm (multiple locations) located in Downtown Boston, MA 02111. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of accounting experience (including internships).

This is a 6+ month temporary role (with an opportunity of becoming permanent).

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $30.00 per hour based on relative work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve invoice discrepancies
• Review and input transactions and payments
• Responsible for updating and maintaining customer data in Excel
• Make inquiries into unidentifiable payments
• Complete all Cash Transfer Requests
• Cash and account reconciliation
• Daily processing (coding, and entering) of customer payments
• Assist Collections’ teams in researching unapplied cash and customer payment histories

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles
• Must be proficient in MS Excel
• Ability to multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 1+ years of accounting experience (including internships)
• Strong sense of urgency
• Associate degree (Bachelor preferred)
