Volt is immediately hiring for an Entertainment Writer-Data Entry in Burbank, CA.
As an Entertainment Writer-Data Entry you will:
Be responsible for working alongside Story Managers to enter key story details from the Studios' library of content into a tool that will be used to manage the company’s encyclopedic story information across all of their films and titles. This person will be responsible for transferring and organizing existing information into the system and will also be responsible for creating write ups and summarizing story details and information from movie titles to add to the system. This person will take direction from and have their work reviewed by the company’s Story Managers. Must have previous entertainment experience or with story-related material, and have an understanding of what type of information would be relevant to a writer. Familiarity with superhero movie knowledge is a requirement for this role.
Adding Wikipedia-style content entries to characters, objects, locations, and titles into the system. Information on these pages will be a combination of paragraphs, images, links, and custom labels.
* Working with the Story Managers to define key events in the Studios' library of content. They will then be responsible for creating those events in the system and associating relevant video scenes.
* Once information has been entered into the system, all information needs to be reviewed and approved by the Story Managers. The Story Managers may make changes in the system directly or send feedback to the data entry analyst to integrate into the system.
* Document changes and updates to streamline reviews and approvals. Extensive knowledge of the Studios' library of content - its characters, events, objects, locations, and plots.
This is a Full-time contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will be:
* Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
* Highly detail oriented
* Adaptable to a fast-moving, quickly changing environment
* Process-oriented individual who can define a structured series of steps to ensure necessary visibility and approvals
* Collaborative individual who can work in a team environment that requires high levels of communication and cross-team coordination.
* Experience working with complex taxonomies and data structures
Salary: $26.00-$29.63/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
