Job Description

The Global Technology Restaurant Engagement Products team focuses on HR and Operations Technology platforms within McDonald’s restaurants. These responsibilities are critical to grooming our greatest asset – our People! The Project Manager will partner cross functionally to identify, measure and address opportunities and develop initiative strategies. The Project Manager will develop and deploy new and innovative technical products in the US and Global leading the execution of various electronic initiatives aligned with our restaurant HR and Operations strategies.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Global Technology - Restaurant Engagement Products - HR & OPS team. Providing strategic direction and multiple product roadmaps toward the successful assembly, execution/delivery of multiple projects including the objective of leading the development of Operations and HR technologies. Modernizing the experience for our crew and managers and improving their administrative efficiencies in support of running the ideal restaurant with the optimal staff. This role will be the primary contact for our functional business partners. The Project Manager will also be expected to apply tried technical product management processes in close collaboration with business partners, vendors, team members, and various IT functions. The Project Manager will assume end-to-end initiative accountability to deliver the functional requirements defined by a cross functional team. The ideal candidate also can accommodate flex hours based on country time zones.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Work with internal team, contractors, our vendor partners to test/deploy solutions and updates
  • Partner with leadership, marketing, operations, merchandizing, legal, analytics, engineering, and design teams to define solutions and enhancement opportunities in the form of epics, stories, and incident reports
  • Manage product roadmaps - continuously prioritize bug fixes and optimization features, delivering the highest value features first and making calculated trade-offs
  • Liaise with functional business sponsors to develop business cases based on strategic directions of the HR & Ops Products
  • Coordinating multi-product development activities required to deploy initiatives
  • Create and actively manage the optimization backlog for the HR and Operations initiatives
  • Analyze Operations insights, data, to identify problems and opportunities in conjunction with our business partners and Franchisee Owner Operator leadership.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding the difference between stated and actual restaurant employee needs
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, communication, critical thinking and analytic skills
  • Self-starter with strong bias for action
  • 5+ years of experience translating HR and Operations employee needs into product features with a consistent track-record of successful delivery
  • Exceptional leadership, team building and product management skills
  • Subject matter authority who brings a strong perspective on employee engagement and understands its role within the broader employee experience vision McDonald’s is trying to achieve
  • Robust experience collaborating with a diverse set of internal partners
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, MS Office, Analytics solutions
