Elementary Dean Of Student Support

Summary:

All employees of Parker Performing Arts School will work together to achieve our school’s vision and mission. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed below, we seek an Elementary Dean of Student Support who canwork with the administration team to set and maintain expectations of conduct for elementary students. They will foster relationships, counsel and advise students, families and staff related to both behavioral conduct and academic needs. Other administrative duties and responsibilities will also be assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing programs to promote positive student behavior as well as intervention strategies.
• Set behavioral expectations and manage / ensure appropriate conduct.
• Confers appropriate consequences for behavior issues.
• Assist staff and parents in developing student behavioral expectations.
• Counsel students and parents about school and district policies.
• Assist in the planning, developing and implementing student behavior plans.
• Other projects and duties as assigned. Examples may include leadership in the areas of Gifted and Talented and ELL programming, assessment oversight, and MTSS coordination.
• Serve as a resource to staff in dealing with classroom management issues.
• Assist with staff coaching and supervision as needed.

Qualifications: Five years successful teaching or prior job related experience with increasing levels of responsibilities in a school setting.

• Second language experience and licensing is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, students, staff and other individuals of varied cultural and educational backgrounds, in both oral and written form.
• Ability to provide direction to others and make independent judgments.
• Keep and maintain accurate records.
• Passion for supportive school leadership and administrative licensure preferred
• High level of professional competence and personal kindness.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
