Job Description

EHS Specialist

Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf
courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.


Responsibilities:
  • Examine work environments for various physical, chemical, biological, and environmental hazards and stresses and
make recommendations for improvements to processes and equipment.
  • Monitor and support a robust process for incident investigation and failure analysis of environmental, health, and
  • Implement corrective actions for stresses that impair employee health and efficiency.
  • Conduct activities that measure and improve the workplace safety culture.
  • Interpret OSHA standards and regulations and maintain a cooperative relationship with OSHA.

  • Manage aspects of workers' compensation and act as a liaison to 3rd party claims management groups.
  • Submit monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, or annual reports to federal, state, local, and corporate offices as required
  • Analyze proposed and final regulations for impacts on manufacturing operations.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety engineering, occupational safety, or related field
  • Years of Experience: 0-2 years’ environmental health & safety experience required
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office Applications, knowledge of OSHA requirements and federal/state regulations,
OSHA injury reporting, emergency response protocols, powered industrial truck requirements, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO
45001, machine guarding, LOTO, and control of hazardous energy requirements preferred
  • Certified or ability to be certified in First Aid/CPR/AED required
