INTERNSHIP SUMMARY:

L’Occitane is seeking a current student pursuing a major in Marketing or a related field to join us as an intern. The Ecommerce Intern will participate actively in the building of site content, landing pages, and promotional offers. This role provides an opportunity to work in an exciting and growing area of digital marketing, and help identify and enable changes to drive L’OCCITANE online results.

This person is a detail-oriented individual. They are able to flourish under tight deadlines and be reactive and proactive as the retail industry environment requires.

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the Ecommerce team to update site content in Salesforce Commerce Cloud such as homepage, promotional offer pages and new template configurations.
• Ecommerce Platform Updates:
• Support the Ecommerce team in the optimization and categorization of product and content revamping across the site, ensuring that all products are organized in appropriate sections in a timely manner

• Content Integration:
• Partner with the international team to localize content and develop specific pages for the USA and CA market. This job duty requires attention to detail as well as the ability to work cross functionally with other departments

• Assist with weekly sales reporting through Google Analytics. Guidance and training will be provided by Ecommerce team related to Google Analytics
• Google Analytics:

• Ensure strong, customer-centric journey by updating site merchandising, content and benchmarking market trends relevant to the business
• Help manage the marketing and merchandising

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION

Working towards a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Experience

Prior Marketing/E-Commerce experience preferred (1-2 year)

Skills

• Possess a high level of integrity – must show good judgment and confidentiality at all times.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with the rigor and discipline to build the business and creative competencies that will allow us to stand out in the market. Excellent communication and persuasion skills. Strong grasp of business strategy and the ability to prioritize opportunities.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Interest in Fashion/Retail/E-Commerce is a plus.
• Experience with various Content Management Systems preferred (Wordpress, Demandware, Drupal, etc)
• Strategic, analytical and creative thinker; flexible approach – constantly looking for new ideas
• Planning and organization skills with the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneously.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation and communication skills needed.
• Strong knowledge and ability to read, report and react against marketing and merchandising KPIs

Physical & Travel Requirements

• Must be available to work a minimum of 28 hours per week
• Must be able work in normal office conditions
