Job Description

Required Education and Experience: Associate in Science degree in radiation therapy program. Minimum 6 months of work experience.

Preferred Education and Experience: Prefer Bachelor in Science degree in related field and 1 year experience.

Summary/Objective :The Medical Dosimetrist is a member of the radiation oncology team who has knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment.

Essential Functions
Derives treatment plans for administering dose of radiation

Translates oncologist’s prescription and calculates correct factors

Prioritizes and schedules treatment planning based on complexity.

Orders necessary treatment planning supplies.

Handles all radiation badge work.
