Introduction
The Dogpatch Hub is being built by the nonprofit FoDH (Friends of Dogpatch Hub) as a "third place"--with the intention to foster community engagement, civic encounters and the connection and intersection of population sectors traditionally unlikely to interact. The Hub will offer opportunities for healthy debate as well as educational and informative programming and services for all segments of our population.
The Hub Coordinator is a part-time member of the Hub team and reports to the Hub Director. This critical role is primarily responsible for reception and interfacing with all guests and volunteers. As the face the community will see most, it's essential that the Coordinator sets a positive tone for all community members and helps shape the Hub’s inclusive, welcoming culture and atmosphere.
The expected salary range for this part-time position (30 hours a week) is $35,000 - $49,000 per year depending on experience.

Hub Coordinator
The Hub Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Dogpatch Hub community facility, provides support to community members, and directly impacts usage growth and retention.
You'll be a great fit for this role if you:

What You’ll Do:
The Hub Coordinator’s main priority is making sure the Hub is welcoming and comfortable.
The Coordinator reports to the Hub Director. The Coordinator will:
- Maintain a positive and “neighborhood-oriented” attitude and environment with community members, stakeholders, and board, including some evenings and weekends
- Work with the Hub Director to develop and manage an online platform to be used for calendaring, billing, program and event management and reservable resource management
- Ensure the Hub remains tidy by straightening up, educating guests to clean up after themselves and coordinating janitorial services as needed
- Additional duties as required
- Greet guests and drop-ins to the Hub and with the Hub Director provide tours and information to prospective groups and organizations
- Support program and rental set-up/break down including furniture and electronics configuration
- Create and administer opportunities for volunteer involvement and input; organize and mentor volunteers
- Guided by the Hub Director, market and advertise the Hub space and events on social media and through other local marketing channels
- Work closely with service contractors to create procedures and schedules for smoothly run programs, events and community use as guided by the Hub Director
- Maintain communications and relationships with community groups and guests who are using the Hub
- Ensure smooth, day-to-day operations of the Hub including such tasks as brewing tea, stocking activity supplies, coordinating maintenance and repair needs
- Support the Advisory Council in creating and maintaining open communications between all sectors of the community and the Hub (i.e. web site, social media, etc.)
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency with Mac computers and the Google Drive suite, and comfortable learning varied software programs
- Familiarity with Dogpatch and surrounding areas
- Volunteer coordination (or similar) experience
- Interest in community building and/or administrative experience
- High School degree or equivalency
