Special Project Specialist – Outsourced Document Imaging Specialist
- Location: 1500 R Street, Lincoln, NE 68508
- Pay: $22 per hour
Responsibilities:
Working at customer's location to meet the defined custom project goals. This will require the individual to travel directly to customer's location. Onsite, either you will work individually or as part of a team to accurately and safely conduct the on-site project work.
- Actual work address will be in Lincoln, NE
- Importance to handling fragile documents safely in a detailed process
- Ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production expectations
- Work will be at Nebraska State Historical Society (History Nebraska)
- Digitize vital documents to become accessible to the world for family tracing
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
For this project, the work assignment is to digitize official government documents using a microfilm scanner to become accessible to the world. This will require handling fragile documents safely and following highly detailed processes.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities to achieve the Job Duties and Expectations:
- Ability to move to/from several assigned work locations within 25 miles (reliable transportation, flexible work schedule to account for drive time
- Ensuring that the product/inventory is well-organized and maintained by using the work processes and attention to detail
- Anticipates problems, catches errors, takes action to complete tasks accurately and on time as well as communities on ways to improve quality and productivity
- Proficient using technology such as laptop computers, software, digital scanners and keyboards
- Lifting and carrying items that weigh 35-40 pounds and occasionally up to 51 lbs.
- Strong communication skills to provide updates to project managers regarding status of projects and assignment
Qualifications:
At least a High School Diploma or GED
Ability to walk/stand for up to 8 hours
Maintains professional, positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
Reading, understanding, and following written and verbal instructions
