Expected annual base salary range: $113,000 to $158,000

Your Role: The Director, User Experience is the in-house User Experience and User Interface expert that leads and executes all designs to create engaging digital experiences for users and customers. Leveraging superior User Experience (UX) problem solving ability, empathy for users and their problems, and a creative mindset, the User Experience Product Lead translates high-level requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional interaction designs that help users streamline the completion of their complex work effectively.

What We Are Looking For In A Successful User Experience Product Lead:
  • Experienced working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Experience conducting user research planning and execution, including strong facilitation skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Interaction Design, or related field with equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in the principles of information architecture, with the ability to present complex data and information in designs which are visually easy to understand and navigate
  • Experienced with a strong portfolio of UI and interaction design in proven solutions with excellent visual design and aesthetics
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical / Healthcare / Life Sciences industry a plus
  • Able to use verbal and written communication to orient, align, engage, and influence others including technical staff, management, and users
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable creating richly interactive prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
  • Proven leadership skills, managing, engaging, and training a team both in person and remotely
  • Previous management experience required with a demonstrated leadership ability including interviewing and candidate selection
  • Minimum of 10 years in user experience and user interaction design roles with software product-related experience
  • Strong knowledge of web construction technology and evolving design trends
  • Able to solve complex problems with creativity and enthusiasm
What You Will Be Doing:
  • Communicating interaction and design ideas with richly interactive prototypes, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps or the best tool for the job to negotiate designs
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here
  • Seed and promote a corporate culture that embraces the concepts of UX/UI Design as a core pillar
  • Conceptualizing original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex user and business requirements
  • Presenting and defending designs and key deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Executing all product design stages from concept through implementation
  • Oversee responsibilities of designated team, organizing the development and facilitation of training for team members
  • Collaborating with product management, engineering, customer implementation teams, and customers to define and implement innovative solutions that define product direction, interaction design, and visual design
  • Studying and documenting the circumstances and characteristics of customers as personas
  • Establishing and promoting design guidelines, best practices, and standards across product suites
  • Establish and maintain relationships with our users to keep our users involved in the creative process
  • Provide an oversight role in aligning the software user documentation to the products; delivering high-quality writing; and using the most current methods for information delivery
  • Provide consultation and hands-on, detailed specification of user interface design matters: choice of controls, arrangement within and between pages, positioning, grouping, phrasing, imagery, icons, and motion effects
  • Conducting user research and evaluating user feedback
  • Support User Group and Product Vision meetings with customers
  • Publishing and presenting research findings
