Supply Chain Director Jobs

My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Director to lead their strategic initiatives and optimize their supply chain operations.

In this position, you will assume responsibility for overseeing the complete range of supply chain processes, fostering robust relationships with suppliers, and optimizing inventory management. Your contribution to streamlining your clients' supply chain, reducing expenses, and improving operational efficiency will be instrumental in propelling their company's growth and success.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strategic partnerships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
• Mitigate risks and disruptions in the supply chain, developing and implementing contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in supply chain management, leveraging innovative solutions to drive efficiency and gain a competitive advantage.
• Optimize inventory management systems to minimize excess stock and eliminate shortages, maintaining optimal levels to support business operations.
• Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
• Monitor and analyze key supply chain performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.
• Develop and execute supply chain strategies in alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as operations, sales, and finance to align supply chain activities with business needs.
• Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identify cost-saving opportunities, and promote sustainable practices throughout the supply chain.

Requirements:

• Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to drive operational efficiency and support business growth.
• 5+ years in supply chain management, preferably in the telecommunications or technology industry.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and organizational levels.
• Proficiency in using supply chain management software and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Master's degree is preferred.
