We are seeking a Director of Project Management in Chicago!
In this newly-created position, you'll help the PMO office with change management! You'll bring your experience leading large business projects for an organization. We are looking for someone comfortable presenting to steering committees and leadership teams, identifying gaps across the organization, and several years' experience leading a small team.
This position can be based in the office in Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI.
You'll help lead project planning along with your small team of project managers. You'll work across the organization to see the big picture, document current business processes, and help guide your team members on what deliverables and processes (including changes to existing) are needed.
Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Lead the end-to-end management of the business transformation project,
- Business Transformation: Drive the overall business transformation exercise, focusing on reengineering. Provide a concise message to the leadership team
- Team Management: Oversee a team of direct reports, who are enterprise business process owners located across the United States and Canada. Provide guidance, framework, and structure to the team, empowering them to excel in their roles.
- Project Planning: Collaborate, organize, communicate, and set clear expectations for the project team members and business experts from employees to VPs. Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and progress updates.
- Process Reengineering and Training: Lead process reengineering efforts and identify training needs within the organization. Conduct training needs analysis and manage training documentation to ensure smooth transitions and a correct implementation of new or updated processes.
- Vendor Management: Provide direction and guidance to the vendor partners.
- Change Management: Develop a change management framework and methodology, addressing the long-term change management needs of the organization. Drive the adoption of new processes and systems, ensuring smooth transitions and effective change communication.
- Communication: Ensure clear and concise messaging to manage expectations and gain support for project initiatives.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in project management and/or supporting business transformation projects
- Ability to travel 25% in North America
- 3+ years management experience
- 5+ years in engineering or manufacturing preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- Able to work onsite
