Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Be a market expert with respect to the competition
  • Work with the product owner to manage the agile development process by being the liaison with the business, IT, commercial, marketing and other key stakeholders
  • Create an outstanding user experience for product consumers
  • Perform market, client and driver research to help prioritize the product backlog
  • Determine whether build or partner is the best path for development
  • Deliver market requirement documents and product requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding reasoning
  • Represent the voice of the customer
  • Run beta and pilot programs with early-stage products and prototypes to measure and learn
  • Define the application roadmap based on the corporate strategy and manage the product backlog
  • Act as a leader within the company
  • Strategically develop new, and manage existing, products as a portfolio based on LeasePlan strategic direction and market opportunity
  • Be strategic in leading the product experience
  • Deliver growth goals of the portfolio based on Key Performance Indicators

Job Specifications

Leadership Responsibility: As a director level position, this role is expected to act as a leader within the department as well as within the organization. Leadership does not require direct reports.

Work Environment: The job is flexible and includes a laptop and mobile phone. The work does require movement throughout the building, the ability to travel and the ability to interact via phone and in-person with colleagues, clients, prospects and vendors.

Position Type/Standard Schedule: Full-time. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel: Travel is sometimes required but expected to be less than 10%. Some travel may require overnight stays.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required. MBA or other graduate degree is preferred.
  • Automotive industry and digital experience are preferred.
  • Other preferred experience includes Agile/Scrum and UX/UI design acumen.
  • 7+ years progressive experience in Product Planning/Product Marketing/Product Management/Design Thinking is preferred.
