Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing the channel sales strategy to expand market presence and drive revenue growth through the regional sales teams.


The ideal candidate must have management experience within the building materials industry.


Open to relocation.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement channel-specific initiatives.
  • Interpret relevant trends and communicate to internal partners, where appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with channel partners, ensuring their alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine the channel sales strategy to align with market trends, competitive landscape, and company goals.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and guidance to channel partners to maximize sales opportunities and ensure partner success.
  • Strategically cultivate new accounts and seek opportunities to expand business with existing accounts.
  • Represent the company at national, regional and customer trade to increase market presence.
  • Delivers feedback to all members of the team on an ongoing basis to ensure clarity of performance against objectives throughout the year.
  • Lead the development of the company’s annual sales budget and regional sales plans.
  • Strategize to penetrate new markets; oversee development and maintain business relationships with customers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Lead, develop and motivate sales leaders and teams in order to meet and exceed company targets.


REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a high comfort level with public speaking and presenting.
  • Strong proven leadership skills; able to oversee multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to understand the construction process and fundamental challenge of an extended sales cycle for specified products and V.E. optimization.
  • Proficient with Salesforce
  • A track record of effectively working to a budget and measuring results.
  • Proven ability to set overall strategy and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of management experience.
  • Experience with change management and leading transition and implementation work.
  • 10+ years of progressive sales experience
  • Experience in specialty construction material sales through the architectural community.
  • Excellent business judgment with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • High threshold for working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
  • Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience developing and driving strategies from ideation through to implementation and delivery of results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
