Director Of Public Relations

LHH is searching for a talented and experienced Director of Public Relations for a client of ours in the Fort Worth, TX area. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record with eight to ten years of relevant experience and will thrive in a hands-on role. As the Director of Public Relations, you will collaborate with agency leadership to enhance our workflow and approach, expand departmental capabilities, and drive success. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience, with agency experience necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement comprehensive public relations plans, tailoring them to meet the unique objectives of each client project.
• Manage a diverse range of projects for various clients, ensuring successful execution within budgetary constraints.
• Keep the team updated on client and agency opportunities, including articles, awards, and tie-ins to social content calendars.
• Contribute to new business endeavors by assisting in proposal development and delivering engaging presentations.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in public relations tactics, working closely with our account service and media teams to develop effective strategies.
• Collaborate with the analytics and media teams to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all projects.
• Actively participate in meetings with clients, vendors, and colleagues to propose and implement public relations strategies aligned with client goals.
• Develop and execute proactive public relations campaigns to create opportunities, secure media coverage, enhance reputation management, and foster positive client sentiment.
• Lead the creation of news releases, handle media inquiries, ensure client preparedness (including coaching and training), and maintain high responsiveness.
• Demonstrate expertise in managing internal and crisis communications, providing guidance and support to the team during critical situations.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in leveraging social marketing platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, and other emerging platforms to complement public relations efforts.
• Familiarity with Google AdWords, display advertising, and mobile advertising.
• Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) credential is a plus, but not required.
• Possess a well-established media contacts list (local, NPB, industries, etc.) and a strong desire to engage with the press.
• Extensive experience in developing messaging, writing press releases, creating communication plans, and producing scripts, media briefings, and marketing collateral.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Slides, Sheets, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely, adhering to AP style guidelines.

Salary:

• $80,000-$90,000
