Seeking a Director of Program Implementation for our Ferries & Transportation Division.


On-site position.

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences’ RESPECT Service System.


About The Opportunity


The Ferries and Transportation division has developed into one of the most substantial, and dynamic, divisions in the maritime field, with equal focus on enhancing existing operations and implementing new projects. This role is at the center of both, spanning our existing nine domestic Ferry operations including NYC Ferry and the ferry service for the Government of Puerto Rico, our Bridgeport Shipyard, and our offshore vessel operator Seaward Services which will start up operations supporting the wind farm industry in the summer of 2023.


Reporting to the SVP of the Ferries and Transportation Division, this individual will lead the planning and implementation of key initiatives as directed in areas of ferry operations, Marine Operations, Guest Services, vessel construction and operations, and general operations.


Ensures high quality and timely delivery of development and construction related services, activities, and support. In addition, the position will be expected to contribute meaningfully to the creation and implementation of key strategic and/or tactical activities to address business challenges and objectives


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • NYC based, with travel required up to 35% of time.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of organizational goals, policies, processes, and procedures for the division, and set professional development goals to ensure the health of the organization.
  • Create agendas, scheduling meetings as needed, and liaising with other department heads to inform, discuss and acknowledge improvements and changes within department.
  • Provide hands on program implementation and change management leadership to ensure smooth operational transitions, lead ground-up program development and cultural integration of new teams and teams that require support.
  • Organize and support team involvement in operation planning, decision making, and process improvements.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure and construction projects, keeping projects on time and on budget. Support Finance and team leadership in preparing an annual pre-approved division budget and project budgets, establishing required pre-approvals prior to the implementation of a new operation or a large-scale project within an existing operation.
  • Manager of ISO/Respect & Training to implement such systems, plans and control of records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with other departments as assigned including but not limited to facilities, Vessel Engineering, Operations, IT, Sales & Marketing, and Finance.
  • Additional job duties as assigned
  • Hold yourself and as well as other employees accountable to the Environmental, Safety and Quality Respect and SMS systems of the organization and to work closely with the
  • Work with the contracts administration compliance team to design and implement a program implementation playbook for new contracts, or developing existing contracts, as needed.
  • Plan and implement the technical support strategy and roadmap for Facilities Department.


Requirements & Qualifications


  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with project management, project implementations and change management in operations organizations
  • Paralegal experience, JD experience or other experience reading and analyzing contracts
  • Experience with Word, Excel, and organizational documentation file management systems
  • Experience working in a team and operational environment to manage systems
