Job Description

Nutiva is looking for a hands-on, experienced Director of People & Culture to provide the leadership necessary to execute and deliver strategic mission aligned programs that leverages the company’s most important asset, our 40+ remote/hybrid people. As a member of the leadership team, this role will be fully responsible for executing all things People & Culture. Ensuring our ability to attract, engage and develop the best talent in the natural food industry.

This position will create and implement strategy to develop a high performing, inclusive and equitable work environment, aligned with Nutiva’s core values, where all employees are engaged and motivated to collaboratively meet and exceed Nutiva’s strategic objectives. This individual will have high emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, willingness roll up their sleeves to get the job done and enjoys working in fast paced mission driven company.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Effective Communication: Strong listening skills with the ability to communicate in a professional, direct and concise manner with associates at multiple levels. Able to convey messages appropriately based on audience.
  • Broad knowledge of and experience with a wide array of HR programs and practices including employment law, compensation, performance management, leadership development, coaching, employee relations, change management and organizational effectiveness
  • Results Driven: Credibility earned through the ability to prioritize and deliver commitments with a sense of urgency. Strive for results that set new standards and are viewed as a value-add to the organization. Willingness to roll up sleeves and execute work from strategic planning to administrative duties.
  • Team Leadership: Develop and motivates the team through a demonstrated presence of purpose, excitement and inclusion in corporate vision and strategies. Align individual goals to business objectives and holds individuals accountable for achieving results.
  • Change Management: Has agility to lead in an ambiguous environment. Be an innovator who identifies and pushes for change that propels the organization.
  • Organizational Influence: Able to leverage the understanding of the company culture, interpersonal dynamics and knowledge of business priorities to drive to results. Ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels and across multiple geographies.
  • Business Acumen: A solid understanding of the brand’s business strategy as well as the external talent marketplace with the ability to offer insights that can be translated into actionable HR plans.
  • Integrity: Ability to do what is right for the business by being advocates for our associates. Acts with tact, integrity and confidentiality to resolve sensitive HR issues.


education/technical skills

  • Strong research and program development skills.
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 7-10 years of experience of progressive human resources experience with five years in a management role.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR) certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience using integrated payroll and HRIS applications (Paycom preferred).

Salary Range DOE: $130K - $150K
