Job Summary of Director of Operations:


The Director of Operations (DOO) is responsible for overseeing effective operating procedures across the company. The DOO develops and implements strategies to meet business goals and provides the vision to drive a culture of exceptional patient care.


Essential Duties of Director of Operations:


  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors.
  • Defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines for the organization.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day operations of all clinics.
  • Developing and executing new growth directives.
  • Plan, implement and manage the overall long-term business success strategy.
  • Set strategic operational goals and KPI’s.
  • Keeping rack of the company’s revenue margins and assist with budget reviews to maximize profits.
  • Liaising with department heads to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance.


Job Requirements of Director of Operations:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and various business software.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of the organization and employees.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics.
  • Knowledge of healthcare legal rules and guidelines.

Education Requirements of Director of Operations:


  • Willing to travel to the various clinics throughout the state of Florida with overnight travel occasionally.
  • 5-10 years experience as a Director of Operations or similar position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Healthcare Management, or similar degree.


Working Conditions:


This job operates in a professional office environment primarily but can include construction areas while in the field. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, fax machines, scanners, etc.


Physical Demands:


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:


  • Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stoop, as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to twenty pounds.
  • Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
  • Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone.


Supervisory Responsibility:


  • This position is a supervisory role.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:


This is a full-time position with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Regular hours of work vary due to project timelines and travel schedule.
