About The Job
As Director of Operations, you will lead client implementations, partnerships, customer service and customer advocacy as we scale and bring our aging care services and platform to a nationwide audience. You’ll have direct ownership of key metrics and given full autonomy to achieve them in line with our mission and goals. This role reports directly to the Chief Experience Officer at CareScout.
Responsibilities
  • Clearly and frequently communicate progress & plans across the experience team as well as with CareScout’s executive team.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative operational data using spreadsheets and other analytical tools to make data-driven decisions.
  • Nurture a culture of empowerment and accountability at all levels of the organization, leveraging the OKR methodology.
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives working across product, engineering, design, sales, marketing, procurement, finance, compliance and external partners / vendors.
  • Dive deep into problems to identify root causes, develop solutions, and implement them across markets.
  • Improve team performance through people development, hiring, and performance management.
  • Scale products and processes from “startup mode” to a mature operation – including client onboarding and implementation, support, care concierge and advocacy, business and product partnerships, and more.
  • Independent ownership of our Ops function. Partner with the experience and the companies’ leadership teams to define the team’s operations strategy and goals, then lead a team of 10+(and growing) to achieve them.
  • Incorporate human-centered design principles to ensure that our operational systems and processes are designed with the needs and preferences of care recipients and their care circles, as well as our long term care insurance clients and quality providers.
Requirements
  • Experience building processes from scratch & implementing them to solve business problems.
  • An influential collaborator in cross-functional teams, always with the commitment to optimize for the mission and for the greater good.
  • Comfortable leading with values and challenging existing processes when they stand in the way.
  • Comfortable interfacing with clients, at times representing CareScout at industry forums and events.
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
  • 7+ years of operations and/or strategy work in a high growth startup or big tech environment.
  • An inspirational and influential leader, capable of enabling team members to be at their very best and setting a psychologically safe work environment.
  • Solid proficiency with software automation tools (e.g. Microsoft 365, Retool, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Experience using data to analyze performance and drive strategic decision making.
  • Experience with building & managing teams of 10+ to achieve objectives.
  • Familiarity with human-centered design principles and their application to product development, customer experience, and operational processes.
