Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing (DOM) is responsible for managing all aspects of the company's marketing initiatives, and leading our brand strategy to drive trial & awareness, build community, grow brand loyalty, and drive sales. The DOM has a critical cross functional role to ensure a strategic and consistent brand message across all consumer facing channels and executions. The DOM will ensure that all teams are aligned and supported on how to activate and extend our key priorities and initiatives lined up with their respective core responsibilities per our annual calendars. The DOM reports directly to the Vice President of Business Development & Marketing and will directly lead our social, creative, retail, and partnership teams to ensure Mananalu is consistently building momentum towards our mission and growing our connection to the community and consumer driven by finger-on-the-pulse insights.
Core Responsibilities:
BRAND MARKETING
- Lead marketplace expertise to drive premium brand positioning & segmentation supported by a strategic product development roadmap.
- Lead internal team & external partners to ensure a consistent voice and message across social, web, retail, e-comm, paid, email, earned media.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships that enable activation across the marketing mix in line with overall brand strategy (IRL and digital)
- Create annual marketing plan that supports the brand’s growth objectives
- Ensure relevant amplification of brand elements through key media channels.
- Partner with creative team to develop premium content and creative executions in line with evergreen content pillars and annual brand calendar
CHANNEL & PRODUCT MARKETING
- Own strategy and execution of marketing efforts to drive sales (e-commerce, CRM, Social)
- Lead GTM planning & activation strategy for new product launches
- Own & evolve the Channel Marketing Toolkit to ensure the sales team is set up for success across the retail & partnership ecosystem with the right materials, tools, and creative to drive sales and strengthen partnerships
- Collaborate with Creative team on the right design and messaging for retail tools
- Build and manage retail/channel marketing budget in line with brand and product priorities
- Directly drive product and marketing decision making for sales growth on Amazon.com.
- Attend retail meetings and create relevant content and plans pending retail partner, channel, tier, etc.
PLANNING & ANALYSIS
- Lead reporting & analysis of all marketing efforts and communicate key implications and learnings to the broader organization
- Contribute to quarterly planning and resource allocation and manage/track overall marketing spend vs budget
- Source and report on key insights and trends shaping culture, community, and the marketing/communications industry as a whole to ensure timely and relevant execution and planning that differentiates our brand
Requirements:
- Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in related field; or equivalent job experience
- Passionately aligned with Mananalu’s values and mission
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in the beverage, CPG, or startup environment
- Track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and influencer marketing
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal teams & external agencies and vendors
