Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Investments to lead the consumer brands sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, negotiating deal terms, and managing portfolio companies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support portfolio companies, including providing strategic guidance, monitoring performance, and working closely with management teams to address challenges and opportunities
• Develop and implement investment strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
• Represent the firm at industry events and conferences
• Build and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders
• Identify and source potential investment opportunities through networking, research, and outreach to entrepreneurs and industry experts
• Negotiate deal terms and structure investments in collaboration with the team and external legal counsel
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments, including market analysis, financial modeling, and competitive landscape analysis

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Passion for entrepreneurship and innovation
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry stakeholders
• Experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field
