Siena College invites applications for the Director of Employee Relations, Benefits and Wellness Programs position in the Office of Human Resources. The Director is responsible for assisting the Associate Vice President for Human Resources in the planning, development and administration of the College's Human Resources policies and programs, in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations and College policy, and in support of the College's mission.
The Director is specifically responsible for, among other things providing leadership and direction in the administration of the College's Employee Relations Program, Professional Development /Training Program, Performance Development Program for administrators and staff, Benefit and Wellness Programs, Leave Policies, and Accommodation Policies.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate should possess: a knowledge and understanding of a broad range of human resource disciplines and practices; knowledge of ERISA, employment and labor laws and other applicable federal and state laws and IRS regulations; strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, presentation and coaching skills, and the ability to communicate well and work effectively with employees of diverse backgrounds; the knowledge, skills and ability to resolve employee relations issues and conduct workplace investigations; proficiency in database applications and Microsoft Office applications; and excellent organizational and analytical skills. A Bachelor's Degree and seven years human resources experience are required. Experience in a higher education setting is preferred. A background screening will be required.
