Director, Membership Programs
Responsible for driving the overall growth of our free and paid membership programs, across all channels. This role defines and oversees all member-based program strategies to achieve active membership and sales growth. Drives innovation through technology (systems/tools), strategies, communications, and experiences, bringing forth new ideas for both Petco and for the industry.
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Oversee the creation of testing and performance measurement capabilities for new initiatives. Direct the development of marketing plans and promotions across all channels to drive awareness, consideration, and conversion of Membership with a focus on scalable, repeatable, and efficient methods. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to constant review, refine these plans to drive towards goals.
  • Develops annual membership, and member program strategies that drive traffic to acquire customers and grow active members and sales. Develops program components (eg, benefits, promotions, etc.) that are relevant to existing and prospective members, and can drive change, increasing active members and driving sales
  • Direct the creation, development and utilization of data-driven processes and predictive models to monitor customer performance against previous cohorts of customers and proactively detect abnormal behavior that may yield to negative outcomes (e.g., customer cancelling or pausing subscription).
  • Provides supervision to assigned staff: includes activities such as hiring, counseling, guiding, training and delivery of disciplinary processes as required. Confers with staff to provide day-to-day guidance and technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Ensure goals and objectives are strategically and tactically aligned to differentiate our membership offerings from the competition, deliver on Petco’s customer value proposition, while exceeding customer expectations and financial budgets.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree plus 10+ years of experience preferably in a retail Business to Consumer environment. Equivalent mix of education and experience may be considered.
  • Advanced experience working with consumer membership programs in a large organization.
  • Program management experience with demonstrated ability to define, execute, and drive strategies.
  • Knowledge of and skill in using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
$163,100.00 - $244,600.00
