Dermalogica is looking for a dynamic individual to take on this exciting opportunity as the Director, Medi Spa and Business Development. In this role, you will oversee the strategies and activities required to identify, develop, and open Medi Spa locations and national and regional accounts that will enhance the Dermalogica brand and contribute to substantial sales growth. This sales growth will be accomplished by identifying and opening new qualified Medi Spa national and regional partners and individual accounts; seeking co-branding opportunities, developing, and growing existing Medi Spa business, working with marketing and education to develop support programs necessary to achieve the sales and account growth objectives. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and create new national and regional Medi spa account relationships, securing new business and expansion opportunities
  • Identify and participate in key industry events and seek opportunities to promote Dermalogica services and products within the Medi spa space through sell-in and co-branding
  • Establish sales strategy and effectively utilize field support to achieve account sell-in targets
  • Provides long range planning ideas and implements tactics to execute
  • Elevate and manage existing account partnerships
  • Establish new product launch strategies and achieve innovation goals
  • Achieve company and division specific KPI’s


Oversee the following activities:
  • Coordinate and participate in industry trade shows
  • Maintains a thorough and current understanding of products and services through attendance at Dermalogica classes.
  • Analyze selling on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to identify opportunities to drive business
  • Communicate regularly regarding inventory levels, sales activities and analysis, and stock-flow and mix
  • Participate and support all sales, marketing, and educational programs (e.g., new product launches, promotions, educational visits, District Sales Meetings, National Sales Meetings, etc.).
  • Provide regular, timely, and meaningful reports on current business conditions, trends, and competitive information.
  • Develop, manage, and implement a growth plan for all accounts, business analysis and planning, account management


Education and/or Experience:


  • Travel requirement 50%
  • Strong product knowledge of the brand and the contemporary market with knowledge of Medi spa services and advanced treatments
  • High school degree required; BA degree preferred
  • The position is based out of the corporate headquarters in Carson, CA.
  • Minimum five years of account management and new business development experience required
  • Possesses familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record in developing and coordinating centralized support programs that result in retail and service growth for the account.
  • Must have current relationships with national and regional Medi Spa accounts, domestically


The expected annual base salary range for this position is $130,000 to $150,000. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, and budget.


This position will also participate in the sales bonus incentive program.
