Cheers for Charity is a community-driven philanthropy initiative and startup. We're looking for board members to help us launch our network.

We're a private club of business leaders, professionals, friends, and changemakers who explore and support issues we care about together, collectively. We meet, socialize, and pool funds to support charities we care about.

We're a membership organization (like Rotary, LeTip, Patreon, and Shark Tank combined) that champions small nonprofits organizations to help them stay focused, scale, and change the world like they’re meant to do. We work with all types of pressing issues including poverty, climate change, human rights, education, homelessness, mental health, refugees, animal care, LGBT+, and much more.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with team and relevant stakeholders.
• Lead due diligence evaluations of charities.
• Time commitment is part-time and flexible. Board meetings are quarterly. Club meetings are in-person once a month.
• Lead and grow membership.
• Contribute thought leadership and problem solving expertise.
• Scout, nominate, and advocate charities that we can support with microgrants.

Requirements

• Business professional with 5+ years of experience (any field).
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Kindness, empathy, and compassion.
• Large network of other business professionals.
• Disposable income to support charity (see membership tiers on website)
• LinkedIn: Must be active (posts, likes, and/or comments)
