Direct Care - Flex Counselors

Developmental Brain Injuries Division (DBIS).
DBIS Hampshire County Programs.
$18.00-$19.00.

• Position Summary: We’re looking for inspiring team members who enjoy bringing out the best in people and are especially motivated to work with adults with Developmental Disabilities. Our DBIS staff are professional team members responsible for supporting each individual’s right to live a safe, enjoyable, meaningful life at home and in the community. Position Responsibilities:

• Administer medications (MAP Certified).
• Complete daily shift notes, data tracking, and any other individual record keeping that may be assigned.
• Transportation to/from appointments, community events, etc
• Remain current on agency certifications / trainings.
• Other programmatic tasks assigned by the Program Director / Site Manager.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual support goals.
• Work in multiple residential locations (Behavioral and/or Brain Injury) assigned by Director.
• Help prepare meals, clean, do laundry, grocery shopping, and help keep the home pleasant and comfortable.
• Assists residents with ADL's (which may include the use of adaptive equipment); dining guidelines / protocols.

Qualifications:

• CPR / First Aid.
• Basic computer/office skills.
• Medication Administration Certificate required.
• Proactive Approaches to Behavioral Challenges (PABC Restraint Certificate).
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Background check (CORI).
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 6 months; and acceptable motor vehicle record.
• Physical ability to perform the requirements of this position and ensure residents safety.
