The Role In Brief
As a Digital Marketing Manager at Company X, you will play a crucial role in managing and executing exciting digital advertising campaigns, while also focusing on email marketing and content creation. You'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in both paid advertising (60%) and email marketing with content creation (40%).
To thrive in this position, you'll need a unique blend of skills, including expertise in marketing operations, meticulous back-end conversion tracking, and the ability to craft captivating and persuasive written content. A strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, excellent copywriting skills, and experience with various marketing automation platforms will set you up for success.
The ideal candidate will effortlessly navigate both digital advertising operations and email marketing strategies, skillfully balancing these essential components to create a comprehensive and successful marketing approach.
Location: This position is available at one of our Company X offices in Washington, DC; Richmond, VA; or open to remote employment within the continental U.S. You'll report to the Associate Director, Digital Marketing Strategy.
Responsibilities
Digital Advertising and Operations
Create and build captivating campaigns and programs for digital advertising efforts within marketing automation platforms.
Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of digital advertising campaigns, providing valuable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Manage the lead intake process for paid ads, ensuring accurate and timely lead data.
Assist in digital marketing project management, coordinating tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
Gather data and metrics for reports on campaign performance and effectiveness.
Execute digital advertising campaigns on LinkedIn and Google, including campaign setup, optimization, and monitoring as needed.
Email Marketing and Content Creation
Utilize an email marketing automation platform to manage the creation, distribution, and performance optimization of the EAB Briefing newsletter.
Craft engaging and persuasive copy for email marketing campaigns, ghostwriting, and blog writing in alignment with our quarterly planning.
Demonstrate exceptional editing and proofreading skills to ensure error-free content.
Maintain editorial quality and brand consistency across all email and web communications.
Take on special projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the digital marketing team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or demonstrated relevant experience.
2-3 years of digital marketing experience.
Demonstrated experience writing and editing in a professional environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze campaign data and provide actionable insights.
Proficiency in digital marketing project management, including task coordination, timeline management, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including copywriting expertise.
Ideal Qualifications
Expertise in problem-solving and innovative thinking.
Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, such as Marketo and Salesforce, for campaign creation and management.
Experience with building and scheduling email campaigns utilizing email marketing platforms.
Knowledge of lead management processes within Salesforce.
Experience with project management software, such as Asana, is a plus.
Interest in developing a digital attribution strategy using tag management solutions (GTM, etc.).
Familiarity with Google Analytics and the ability to derive insights from analytics data.
Knowledge of or interest in higher education or K-12 education to provide valuable insights to our audience.
Digital platform certifications: Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics.
Willingness to take on special projects and contribute to the overall success of the team.
